Baylee Jos BBQ in Ironton

Nice roadside stop; nice people, pleasant place, and good food. Porksteak and pulled pork were top notch, tender with just a hint of smokiness. Good sides and large portions. Originally got ribs that were dried out. They immediately got me the pulled pork, no questions asked, owner apologized and took off the bill. Will definitely go back next time we pass that way. Highly recommended!

Yummmmmy! To say the fried corn on the cob and deliciously tender barbecue sandwich made me smile is an understatement. I loved it!

Food was excellent and atmosphere is really nice. You know how Mexican restaurants bring chips and salsa to your table? Well, these guys bring pork rinds. Wait wasn't too long. Food fresh and hot. Also, the bathrooms were spotless. I was able to have a nice, leisurely and comfortable bathroom visit, just in case being able to do so is important to you (and it should be). Had the BBQ bacon burger, was excellent. Fries perfectly seasoned. Next time I'm up this was I'll probably stop by again and have some ribs.

Best bbq restaurant I have eaten at.

Large portions, plump and tasty shrimp, honestly the best pork steak I've ever had, same goes for the green beans, I don't know what they did to them but they were sooo good. The staff was also super friendly

I may be slightly biased since my wife and I had our first date here, but even before then I loved this place. I've seen Chris build it from nothing to a really booming restaurant, and there's a reason business is so good. The staff is very friendly and attentive (I've talked their arm off when it was exceptionally slow [t'was a weird day]). The food is amazing. I usually get their catfish, which is the best around. I always get spiral fries and load them up with the Cherry Barbecue sauce (in caps because it is the best and I usually get a bottle every now and then that they have for sale). An absolutely amazing experience with great service! Cassie was kind, bubbly, and prompt. We literally needed nothing the entire time. Our drinks and food were out lightning fast for a table of 5. The cocktails were delicious and the food was amazing. I had the chicken which feel right off of the bone and the skin was PERFECT! My husband had a loaded potato with pulled pork and he almost couldn’t finish the huge portion. My oldest had the fish dinner and the fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My other son had the tacos and they were so big and stuffed that he could only eat 2/3 and he’s usually my kid that finishes all of his plate. This place is a hidden gem that I’m so glad we went to on our vacation.

I had really dry chicken, my lemonade was very watery and fries were too salty. Nothing really met expectations that were set from previous experiences. I dropped my fork at one point, and it took a decent amount of time to get a replacement.

We love eating here when we are in Ironton. Owner and staff are super friendly! Food is delicious. Everyone loved the Gator bites 😄 Waitresses great customers with a smile as they arrived after closing time! Didn't turn anyone away. The owner greeted everyone and he was even bussing tables!

Absolutely some of the best food I have had anywhere. Highly recommend the fried cheese bites, the loaded nacho pub chips, and all of the smoked meats which are super tender and flavorful. It's worth the drive.

We went on a Saturday night when they were slammed and short handed....we waited longer than normal for the food but was well worth it!! The BBQ Ribs were too good, the wings were quality, even the green beans were awesome! We came back the next day and I couldn't see eating anywhere else when in the area. The staff is also great and the guy that runs it is right there with them.

The food was good. The prime rib is supposed to be ready starting at 4pm was not. So I had pulled pork and the wife had crab legs. She said that they were delicious. My pork had no smoke flavor at all. I didn't know it but they offer 3 kinds of bbq sauce. Our waitress left a lot to be desired. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

There are few places in life that feel perfect and right; when I was seated and fried pork rinds were placed in front of me instead of boring baked rolls I knew I had found one of those magical places often passed down through history such as the Gardens of Babylon or the Fountain of Youth. The cornbread with pulled pork piled on top was a culinary masterpiece; the cherry sauce was like water in the desert; the porksteak delightful. Do not pass this place without stopping, you will never know the joy of a hidden gem.

Awesome-ness in my mouth

My entire life has led me to believe that when it comes to food, you must pick two of these three: price, quality, and volume. Price: I paid $16 for a "Family Feast". Quality: It was some of the most delicious BBQ beef I've ever eaten in my life. Volume: Supposedly, this monster feeds a family of four; which is insane, as it was enough food to negate my need to go grocery shopping this week.In summation, Baylee Jo's has destroyed my perception of how a restaurant is supposed to work. I fear the rest of my life will be a hollow, desolate void, as I chase the feeling of sheer bliss left in the wake of my meal. Colors are fading. Music seems more distant. I cannot even seem to get comfortable in my favorite chair.But yo, I got leftovers, so im set for awhile!

Best barbecue ever!!! Such friendly staff and amazing variety. The sides are homemade and to die for. We will definitely be coming back for more! Also their cherry wings are mouth watering
